Bedrock presents Parker’s Alley in Bloom to celebrate and support Detroit’s Month of Design. Take a look at other ways Bedrock is celebrating throughout the month here.

about parker’s alley

Parker’s Alley is a bustling retail and dining destination adjacent to Shinola Hotel. Celebrating Detroit’s entrepreneurial spirit, the alley is lined with specialty curated shops, many of which are local, female-owned businesses.

The Alley’s namesake is rooted in history long before the bustling storefronts of Woodward. It is an homage to Thomas Parker, who acquired the lot for $1 in 1809 and became one of Detroit’s first Black landowners. In 2021, a plaque was erected in the alley to honor Thomas Parker and remember the historical moment.

Location: 1413 Farmer St.
