Meet the Florists

Four Detroit-area master florists from Graham Stanton, Niche Hitch, Studio Terrain, and Twigs + Branches have been tapped to design and install the large flower arrangements throughout the Alley and on storefronts. An abundance of Michigan-grown flowers will be featured and following the Alley's full bloom, all florals will be collected and recycled to create topsoil that will be used throughout Detroit's green spaces.

Detroit Month of Design

Bedrock presents Parker's Alley in Bloom, in collaboration with Shinola Hotel and Parker's Alley retailers, to celebrate and support Detroit's Month of Design. Take a look at other ways Bedrock is celebrating throughout the month here.

About Parker's Alley

Parker's Alley is a bustling retail and dining destination adjacent to Shinola Hotel. Celebrating Detroit's entrepreneurial spirit, the alley is lined with specialty curated shops, many of which are local, female-owned businesses.

The Alley's namesake is rooted in history long before the bustling storefronts of Woodward. It is an homage to Thomas Parker, who acquired the lot for $1 in 1809 and became one of Detroit's first Black landowners. In 2021, a plaque was erected in the alley to honor Thomas Parker and remember the historical moment.
