Whether you’re meeting up before dinner, keeping the night going after a game, or just passing through, it’s a welcoming space to gather, unwind and stay awhile.

Nick Gilbert Way is set to host an entire summer filled with activities and programming in downtown Detroit. Bedrock is teaming up with a variety of local partners to offer live music, games, art installations, community events, food and beverages and more, kicking off Thursday May 21 and running throughout the seasons.

Programming times:

  • Tuesday - Thursday 11AM to 2PM

  • Thursday - Friday, 4PM to 9PM

  • Saturday, 12PM to 9PM

  • Sunday, 12PM to 6PM

TWIST BAR

Launching for the season is Twist, an al-fresco spritz bar serving beer, wine, lemonade-inspired cocktails and non-alcoholic beverages alongside XX and XX. The whimsical, vibrant pop-up bar will seat up to 30 guests along the east side of Nick Gilbert Way and Farmer Street. Weather permitting, it will be open Wednesdays through Fridays 4 to 9PM, Saturdays 12 to 9PM and Sundays 12 to 6PM.

    Little Free Library

    In collaboration with the Detroit Public Library, a free and interactive installation that includes more than 100 books with seasonal themes. Inspired by the writing lounge and library once located at the J.L. Hudson Department Store, visitors can stop by to take – or leave – a book.

  • Mini Print Vending Machine

    Dispensing 2 by 3-inch limited-edition prints created by Detroit artists and students in partnership with Signal Return. Inspired by traditional vending machines, prints are accessible by slotting in two quarters.

    Community Meet Up Events

  • Expanded Menu at Un Deux Trois

    Now serving lunch with sandwiches and wraps, yogurt parfaits and sweet and savory pastries and more. Un Deux Trois is open Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm and Saturdays and Sundays, 11AM to 7PM.

  • Lunchtime Live Music

    Every Tuesday through Thursday from 11AM to 2PM.
